Update from Darfur

~a lunch-hour discussion with Clement Abas Apaak~

Time: 12:30pm, Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Place: SUB 205

Food will be provided.

Much has happened over the past year in Darfur, the site of a brutal four-year conflict that has killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. Come join us to hear from Clement on the current political situation, both in Sudan and internationally, and learn how you might contribute to the prospects for peace in Darfur.

Clement is a nationally recognized advocate and founder of Canadian Students for Darfur, and an instructor at Simon Fraser University.

This event is presented by STAND UBC, a local chapter of Students Taking Action Now: Darfur. Much thanks to the Caribbean African Association for their support of this event.
